Meet the Staff
Parent of child in Fizz class
Students attending Marylebone Theatre Company work to develop their skills in Music, Dance and Drama, particularly in a collaborative sense. We offer a calm, relaxed environment in which children can flourish and explore their creative side. Members are given the opportunity to participate in activities and master classes which allow them to work collaboratively with other young children to create a piece of theatre in a friendly and encouraging artistic environment.
The Theatre Company is open to any child from any school. No previous acting experience is necessary. Students attending on Saturday mornings will take part in creative workshops designed to allow them to explore and develop drama and theatre skills whilst getting to know the other students attending the course.
A theme for the term guides the artistic content of each session, and an informal performance is given to family and friends at the end of each term. Over the last few years, the students have performed a variety of scenes from Harry Potter, Peter Pan, My Fair Lady, Annie, The Wind in the Willows, The Tempest and Guys & Dolls.
Marylebone Theatre Company has existed for nearly two decades ringing in changes to support its participants. Originally set up with the ENO (English National Opera) and public funding, it now runs dependent on termly fees.
